Race day

Be in the start area 15 minutes before your start time for the bib and chip check. Plaça de les Corts Catalanes and the Pavelló are next to each other: directions ↗.

To collect your bib you must show:

• ID card, passport or driving licence.
• A valid federation licence (card or app), if you registered as licensed.
• The signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian, for under-18s (consent form).

Anyone who registered as licensed and does not show a valid licence must pay the €5 one-day insurance to collect their bib.

• Wear your bib where it can be seen at all times (on the front, on your pack or on the side of your leg). It must not be cut, folded, covered or altered.
• The bib has a single-use chip on the back. Do not remove it or tamper with it.
• Each participant is responsible for passing through every checkpoint. Missing a timing point means disqualification.
• The organisers' emergency phone number is printed on the bib.

Bib colours

Each race has its own bib colour, which matches the colour of the arrows on its course:

There will be no cups at the aid stations. Every participant must carry their own hydration system (cup, flask or water bladder); it is mandatory gear.

Liquid: water and isotonic drink. Solid & liquid: water, isotonic drink, banana, orange, chocolate and savoury biscuits, dates, jelly sweets and, at some points, quince jelly. There is also an aid station at the finish.

Express and Junior

Hike and Juvenil

Cadet and Infantil

Help or food can only be received in the aid station areas. After each aid station there will be bins for your waste, within 50 metres.

Times are counted from each race's start time:

• Anyone reaching a checkpoint after the cut-off must withdraw, hand their bib to the checkpoint marshal and follow their instructions.
• Checkpoint marshals and the medical team may withdraw any participant whose physical condition makes it advisable.
• A sweep team will close each course.

If the weather makes it advisable (cold, rain or strong wind), the organisers may make extra gear mandatory, such as a windproof jacket. This will be announced in advance on the website, social media and at the briefing. The organisers may check mandatory gear at the start and anywhere on the course.

• The whole course is marked with white tape bearing the La Bufavents logo, every few metres.
• If you go more than 200 metres without seeing a marker, turn back until you find one.
• Every junction will have arrows showing the right direction.
• A sign with a red cross means wrong way: go back the way you came until you find tape.
• A technical section sign marks a descent where you need to take care with the terrain.
• Courses share some sections. Where they split, arrows will show the name and colour of each race (the same as the bib). Always follow the arrow with your race name.

• Except in case of injury or accident, you may only withdraw at a checkpoint or aid station.
• If you withdraw, tell the nearest checkpoint or aid station as soon as possible, or call the organisers' emergency number printed on your bib.
• Also say how you will get back to your starting point or whether you need transport to the finish.
• If an injury or accident stops you walking to the nearest checkpoint, call race control on the emergency number on your bib.
• All participants must help any injured runner and alert the nearest checkpoint.
• Always follow the instructions of the organisers, volunteers and emergency services.

The organisers will provide medical cover and an ambulance, sweep teams and radio contact between checkpoints, as required by the circuit rules.

The race runs through El Perelló's natural spaces. Looking after them is everyone's job:

• Dropping litter outside the aid station bins is forbidden and leads to disqualification.
• We recommend writing your bib number on gels, bars and wrappers. The organisers may check them at any time.
• There will be no single-use cups: bring your own hydration system.
• Always stay on the marked path, with no shortcuts, and respect plants, wildlife and private property.
• Animals are not allowed to take part.
• The organisers will remove all markings within 48 hours of the race.
